- Cases for recovering money due under any contract, receipt, or other document.
- Cases for reclaiming movable property or recovering its value.
- Cases for reclaiming possession of immovable property within one year of dispossession.
- Cases for compensation due to unlawful seizure or damage of movable property.
- Compensation cases due to unauthorized entry of livestock.
- Cases for claiming due wages and compensation by agricultural laborers.
- Cases filed by a wife to recover unpaid maintenance.
Explanation: The provisions listed above are in addition to remedies available under any other law and are triable by the Village Court. No other law shall override the jurisdiction of the Village Court.
Condition: The amount claimed, the value of movable property, or the value of the immovable property involved must not exceed 300,000 BDT.
