Benefits of Village Court

The Village Court resolves both civil and criminal disputes involving up to 300,000 BDT.
Disputes are resolved quickly, at low cost, and with minimal complexity in the Village Court.
Both the applicant and the respondent can appoint judges of their own choice.
Since evidence is readily available, neither the applicant nor the respondent can hide any information.
The quick resolution of disputes reduces the possibility of one dispute leading to another.
As disputes are resolved through mutual understanding, the relationship between the applicant and respondent remains intact.
Justice is provided at a minimal fee—only 10 BDT for criminal cases and 20 BDT for civil cases.
Lawyers are prohibited from being hired in the Village Court.
